NOURISHING OUR TRUE NATURE
A Day of Practice in the Forest
Sunday, August 9
9:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Olsen Creek Preserve
One of the translations for “Dhamma” is “nature”. The natural world has much to teach us about the Dhamma, and connecting to this is a source of nourishment for heart and mind.
On this day, we will hike in two miles and spend a few hours practicing immersed in the forest,
including group stillness meditation, Dhamma reflection, and unstructured personal practice time.
The hike in is 2 miles long and gains about 900 feet in elevation. The trail is generally well graded. Our pace will be gentle. We will hike out the same route in reverse.
Location: Olson Creek Preserve (map)
Those new to meditation and/or Buddhism are welcome along with experienced practitioners.
The day is freely offered.
